The Godding Motors story
In 1975 Tony Godding began Godding Motors as a general automotive repair workshop. In the early 1980s Tony diversified into the alternative fuel industry and was involved in the development of the New Zealand Standards for alternative fuels.
In 2005 Gary and Victor Ayling purchased the business and began trading as Godding Motors 2005 Ltd.
Clayton Smith was appointed Manager of the new company. Clayton previously worked for Tony Godding for 14 years where he learnt about installation and repair of numerous alternative fuel systems. Clayton has attended training courses on the latest hi-tech Lovato and Sprintgas vapour injection systems.
The team at Godding Motors 2005 Ltd continue to service, maintain and repair all makes and models of motor vehicles, petrol and diesel and Light Commercials.
Godding Motors are also the only authorised service and warranty centre for the Ssongyong range of vehicles in the Manawatu region.
Godding Motors 2005 Ltd have a modern fully equipped workshop containing a large range of specialised equipment for the service of the modern motor vehicle
The GAS U UP story.
This is a relatively new business (4yrs) specialising in providing alternative fuel for the automotive industry, Gas U Up Ltd is owned and managed by Greg Corbett who has 30 years in the automotive industry and has been qualified to install and maintain alternative fueled equipment since 1982.
The company was located in dedicated premises at 891 Tremaine ave Palmerston north and is an LTSA authorised Agency for the Installation and inspection of Alternative fueled Vehicles.
